The day I had to choose between a crying infant and an important client call was the day I truly became a 'Mompreneur.' Picture this: I'm ready to discuss the final details of a project, and just as I'm about to make my point, the serene silence is shattered by my baby's cry. Without a second thought, I hit the 'end call' button and rushed to my little bundle of joy. That moment defined my dual journey of motherhood and entrepreneurship.
Hello, friends! I'm Suriti Arora, the heart and soul behind Perky Owl Designs, Yellow Productions, and my latest venture, Chor Sipahi. Designing is not just my profession; it's my sanctuary.

Becoming a 'Mompreneur' wasn't a planned career move. Like many young girls, I dreamed of a fulfilling life without a clear path. Yet, life has a funny way of choosing for us. What began as a freelancing experiment amidst motherhood blossomed into a 7-figure business.

Balancing client deadlines with lullabies, my early days involved multitasking with a baby on my lap and a laptop in front of me. Despite having family support, my helicopter parenting instincts meant I was always hovering. Giving up on my dreams was an option, but not one I was willing to consider. Ever felt like you were juggling grenades with the pins pulled out?

Here's a humorous tidbit for you: amidst planning a store launch, with office branding, shoot, and video production on my plate, and with my son merely 3 months old, I made a decision. I packed up my baby, grabbed my sister for support, and headed to the site. I commandeered the promoter's new cabin for feeding breaks. This might sound unconventional, but it's one of the many proud and slightly amusing decisions of my journey. Meeting clients who support and understand the dynamics of woman entrepreneurship is refreshing and encouraging.

As the workload expanded, so did my team, starting with my first intern, Aniket. Learning to delegate and provide feedback was a milestone. In the world of design, aesthetics often precede systems, leading to many late nights perfecting projects until they met my standards. Can you relate to obsessing over details until everything is just right?

I consider myself lucky in terms of client acquisition. My commitment to quality, understanding briefs, and adhering to timelines has fostered long-lasting relationships, with clients returning even after five years for new collaborations.

So, to my fellow mompreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs, here's my message: Balancing motherhood and a business is a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows, laughter and tears, but it's undoubtedly worth every moment. If you've ever had to mute yourself on a call because of a sudden baby outburst, know that you're not alone.

I invite you to share your own 'Mompreneur' moments or questions below. Let's support and inspire each other on this crazy, wonderful journey.

And remember, in the world of juggling business and babies, every day is an adventure. So, strap in, embrace the chaos, and let's enjoy this ride together.
